VLC Media Player is a free, open-source program used to play media from all kinds of sources, and even do much more advanced things. We love VLC because it offers the best possible features and is made with passion. The project can be supported at the VLC site and we encourage you to consider doing so. Not all business should be based on selling products at a profit - indeed many of the greatest triumphs of human ingenuity have been the outcomes of effort that may not have a profit motive whatsoever. Does lack of profit motive mean that an effort is less real, less important or, indeed, less of a business? We don't believe so. In fact, we believe that in the future, we will see many kinds of firms based on all sorts of new and novel Articles of Incorporation, which better align the mission of the firm with available capital and stakeholders. VLC is one example of this and we hope to see much more in the world like their efforts; who knows, perhaps one day Onesys inventions and innovations might find their place in the world based on new kinds of business logic.
