Onesys Medical Card

The Onesys Medical Card (OMC) represents the very latest in patient information management.

We asked: "Is it practical to expect that all information should be accessible globally and at all times, if most people need their information locally and sporadically?

We realized that the most important information, which we call "pertinent" information, tends to move at the velocity of the patient: often a doctor must spend valuable appointment time finding and collating information, and having done so, they have nowhere to store what they've found.

​

Enter the medical smartcard, allowing for this collated information to be accessed at the start of the patient encounter, allowing for information to be updated conveniently during the appointment.

Based on a contact chip, the information is secured following AES-256 and we've done away with some of the more risky features: the chip does not require internet access to work, nor is it based on a cloud system. Each card is unique and individual, only readable or writable with our software. Once a card is locked, it is effectively bricked.

For the benefit of future proofing, each card comes with an individualized QR-code allowing for downstream development of rich features at the discretion of the healthcare provider.​
